Goodbye kiss - Kasabian

Kasabian, li conobbi nel lontano 2004 quando ancora giocavo a FIFA per PS2, altri tempi, ebbene nella colonna sonora del gioco figura anche L.S.F., singolo del loro primo album del 2003. A parte quella canzone non mi hanno mai colpita più di tanto fino al loro ultimo album Velociraptor! del 2011, apprezzando la loro Days are forgotten mi son detta che forse è il caso di ascoltare tutto l'album ed eccoci qui con Goodbye kiss che si adatta alla perfezione con le tematiche del blog.

La cosa di cui non mi capacito è che c'è un punto in cui questa canzone mi ricorda troppo una canzone dei Garbage, ma più provo a capire quale sia e più mi sfugge.

Concludo con l'origine del loro nome, Linda Kasabian era un membo della setta di Charles Manson (lo stesso cui ha preso il nome anche Marilyn Manson), qui esce fuori il mio lato bacchettone ma io la trovo una cosa di pessimo gusto...a parte questo la canzone mi piaceva troppo per non pubblicarla.

Lana Del Rey, eccoci.

E' stato amore al primo ascolto con questa canzone e con il video, veramente ben fatto.

Sorvolo a pie' pare sul fatto che mi sia guardata TUTTE le sue esibizioni live di Bon to die che ho trovato su Youtube senza che me ne sia piaciuta una, pazienza, la canzone mi piace troppo :P

Piccola curiosità sul testo, la frase Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain in realtà in orginale era Let me fuck you hard in the pouring rain.

Avrei voluto variare, fare qualcosa di speciale per i tre anni di blog, non so, una canzone non triste ma che mi piacesse molto, c'ho provato, ma proprio non l'ho trovata e allora niente, gioco in casa con questa canzone che sta avendo non poco successo piazzandosi al sesto posto nella classifica dei 100 video musicali più ascoltati su youtube.

Non fate come me, quando una mia amica la prima volta me l'ha fatta sentire sono rimasta un attimo spiazzata dal video curioso, poi un'altra mia amica mi ha mandato la sua personale cover di questa canzone e gioco forza l'ho ascoltata come si deve, il resto è storia :P

Perché l'ho scelta...perché "adesso sei solo qualcuno che un tempo conoscevo" è il messaggio che più o meno velatamente permea il blog, i primi tempi era mirato, adesso è anonimo, ma bene o male se dovessi dare un sottotitolo al blog, sarebbe questo.

Basta così - Negramaro

Ultimamente sto trascurando un bel po' la musica italiana moderna per cui arrivo un po' in ritardo su questa canzone che mi è piaciuta sin da subito, poi cosa che mi è piaciuta ancora di più è il video, estremamente curato che va a completare la canzone stessa.

Mi piace un sacco come viene espresso il contrasto tra il sapere di dover lasciare andare qualcuno e il non volerlo fare.

Invisible - Skylar Grey

Settembre è un mese odioso, piano piano iniziano ad accorciarsi le giornate, si smette di boccheggiare, il traffico piano piano torna a farti innervosire e come se non bastasse c'è la sessione di settembre. La sera sono così stanca che faccio zapping su youtube senza molto senso, ma per una volta è stato produttivo.

Ho scoperto infatti Skylar Gray la quale vanta diverse collaborazioni con diversi nomi altisonanti del mondo della musica tra cui Eminem, per farvi capire di cosa parlo basta ascoltare Skylar Grey - Love the way you lie. Non faccio che chiedermi cosa ne sarebbe venuto fuori se avesse cantato lei con Eminem anziché Rihanna...

Devo essere onesta, l'unica cosa che non mi fa impazzire di questa canzone è il testo che per certi versi strizza un po' troppo l'occhio agli adolescenti, per il resto ascoltarla è un piacere. Anche se volerla raccontare tutta "invisible" si riferisce più alle difficoltà di Skylar Grey di farsi notare nel mondo della musica, tant'è che lei ha già pubblicato un album nel 2006 come Holly Brook, ma i veri consensi li ha iniziati ad ottenere solo ultimamente dopo che le collaborazioni con Eminem le hanno puntato i riflettori addosso. Da qui anche il nome dell'album che uscirà ad inzio 2012: Invinsible, perché da invisible è diventata invincible, l'idea del gioco di parole è venuta niente di meno che a Marilyn Manson.

Lasciatemi interrompere per una volta l'ordine FIFO (first in first out) di pubblicazione dei suggerimenti, anche perché questa canzone suggerita da Federica l'ho scoperta grazie ad un suo post e mi sono letteralmente innamorata dell'interpretazione di Adele, grandiosa, mi ha lasciata senza parole. Spero che piaccia anche a voi.

Per quanto riguarda la canzone in sé qui trovate qualche informazione in più.
Il passaggio saliente è questo:
