Goodbye kiss - Kasabian

Kasabian, li conobbi nel lontano 2004 quando ancora giocavo a FIFA per PS2, altri tempi, ebbene nella colonna sonora del gioco figura anche L.S.F., singolo del loro primo album del 2003. A parte quella canzone non mi hanno mai colpita più di tanto fino al loro ultimo album Velociraptor! del 2011, apprezzando la loro Days are forgotten mi son detta che forse è il caso di ascoltare tutto l'album ed eccoci qui con Goodbye kiss che si adatta alla perfezione con le tematiche del blog.

La cosa di cui non mi capacito è che c'è un punto in cui questa canzone mi ricorda troppo una canzone dei Garbage, ma più provo a capire quale sia e più mi sfugge.

Concludo con l'origine del loro nome, Linda Kasabian era un membo della setta di Charles Manson (lo stesso cui ha preso il nome anche Marilyn Manson), qui esce fuori il mio lato bacchettone ma io la trovo una cosa di pessimo gusto...a parte questo la canzone mi piaceva troppo per non pubblicarla.




C'è anche la cover fatta da Lana Del Rey (due artisti che non c'azzeccano l'uno con l'altra), dopo che i Kasabian hanno fatto una cover della sua Video Games:

E' più di un mese ormai che non pubblico, riprendiamo con lei, con Lana Del Rey. In un post passato avevo detto di aver visto ogni sua esibizione live di Born to die senza che alcuna mi soddisfacesse. Il 13 Aprile è stata ospite alle Invasioni Barbariche e non mi è dispiaciuta, per cui eccoci qui, ha vinto un secondo post nel mio blog :)

Lana Del Rey, eccoci.

E' stato amore al primo ascolto con questa canzone e con il video, veramente ben fatto.

Sorvolo a pie' pare sul fatto che mi sia guardata TUTTE le sue esibizioni live di Bon to die che ho trovato su Youtube senza che me ne sia piaciuta una, pazienza, la canzone mi piace troppo :P

Piccola curiosità sul testo, la frase Let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain in realtà in orginale era Let me fuck you hard in the pouring rain.
